Author’s Note

 

It is inevitable we will all suffer loss in our lives. Whether it is the loss of a relationship, a job, a pet, or a loved one, most find it upsetting and painful. We all deal with the hurting or grief—differently. I am not ashamed to share my journey and fight for survival after the tragic death of my daughter. I do wish to offer hope and encouragement so that others will see that they, too, can survive life’s most difficult challenges.

Enduring this terrible loss has led me to look at my life more closely and has helped me to understand its true meaning and purpose. We have to believe and we must have faith, knowing with confidence that our lives are eternal, and our loved ones truly never leave us.  Read more…

“You really have two choices when it comes to dealing with tragedy; you can let the grief consume you and ruin your life altogether, or you can chose to survive it and become a stronger, better person because of what you have been through. As for me, I choose the latter,” says Scalise.

Jennifer is a devoted, single mother who resides in St. Charles, Missouri with her two children, Blake (18) and Paige (9). Despite enduring such a tragic loss, through her new found faith, Jennifer has gone on to find miraculous peace.
